From the authors of the blockbuster bestseller The Wife Between Us comes an electrifying new novel about doubt, passion, and just how much you can trust someone. Seeking women ages 18–32 to participate in a study on ethics and morality. Generous compensation. Anonymity guaranteed. When Jessica Farris signs up for a psychology study conducted by the mysterious Dr. Shields, she thinks all she’ll have to do is answer a few questions, collect her money, and leave. I liked the story and the mild twist at the end, but this did not shock or completely surprise me. I am pretty certain our state of mind can affect how a book is perceived, maybe I had watched too many hours of the ID Channel and therefore numbed me to the outcome. The woman at Barnes & Noble said this book was amazing, however I was not as thrilled by it. It was a good read, but not my most favourite one. I may however give the authors another try and read their book "The Wife Between Us". #goodreads #books #AnAnonymousGirl #GreerHendricks #SarahPekkanen #authors I always write the Character names on the blank pages at the front of the book. Like a "Cast" list in a Playbill, I need this because I am quite ADD, so I get confused with the characters and their names. This method has made my reading experience a much more pleasant one. I highly recommend it to those who struggle with this too. * I do not stand to gain anything from my recommendations.

I love reading on the plane. I rarely get a full 5-6 hours away from my phone and completely disconnected from the world around me. The plane is the best time for me to devour a book. This time I was travelling from LAX to JFK, and I practically got through this entire read on that plane ride. What a Debut by Mary Kubica, if this is the bar she is setting for herself and she is able to keep it up, then she's on to a great path. SUMMARY: One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life. When Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers, Mia's mother, Eve, and detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find them. But no one could have predicted the emotional entanglements that eventually cause this family's world to shatter. You are on for the ride, plodding along with the story, but it is the end that slaps you in the face with a whole different reality and you're left speechless and talking to yourself out loud. This is another fantastic thriller, that you most definitely did not expect. Be prepared to hate, love and cry all at once! #GoodReads #Novel #Thriller #Reads #Reading #Books #TheGoodGirl by #MaryKubica #debut Above is an image of me on the plane, reading "The Good Girl", with my beloved dog sleeping on my pillow, in her favourite spot - between my legs. * I do not get commissions for recommendations.
I'm fascinated by Thrillers - I always have been. I love a good book with an unpredictable ending. The ability of a writer to create multiple layers, twists and turns, keeping me gripped and leaving me gobsmacked at the end of it. This books is all of those things. The master of this, for me, is Harlan Coben, and even though this book has a different tone to Harlan's books, it is just as suspenseful. An addictive psychological thriller about a group of women (The May Mothers) whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined when one of their newborns goes missing. I won't give away the full story, but you follow the "lead character" with sympathy and then it all takes a turn and you mistrust her completely, but the end reveals a shocking truth. The struggles of new Motherhood are real, and you get to experience all the fears right here! Tip: If you get confused with multiple characters and their names, pencil the list down in the front of the book, to remind yourself of who is who. It makes for a much easier reading.
