I love reading on the plane. I rarely get a full 5-6 hours away from my phone and completely disconnected from the world around me. The plane is the best time for me to devour a book. This time I was travelling from LAX to JFK, and I practically got through this entire read on that plane ride. What a Debut by Mary Kubica, if this is the bar she is setting for herself and she is able to keep it up, then she's on to a great path. SUMMARY: One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life. When Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers, Mia's mother, Eve, and detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find them. But no one could have predicted the emotional entanglements that eventually cause this family's world to shatter. You are on for the ride, plodding along with the story, but it is the end that slaps you in the face with a whole different reality and you're left speechless and talking to yourself out loud. This is another fantastic thriller, that you most definitely did not expect. Be prepared to hate, love and cry all at once! #GoodReads #Novel #Thriller #Reads #Reading #Books #TheGoodGirl by #MaryKubica #debut Above is an image of me on the plane, reading "The Good Girl", with my beloved dog sleeping on my pillow, in her favourite spot - between my legs. * I do not get commissions for recommendations.
