Monkey business (sanctuary) in ubud

The Monkey Sanctuary, though very touristy is a must-see in Bali (UBUD). There is something quite spectacular about this place. And amidst the masses of people (mostly visitors), all of which are eager to interact with these curious creatures, there is a sense of peace.

Surrounded by humid, lush vegetation, a forrest darkness and plenty of unusual sights, are these small, fast and intelligent monkeys. Animals that know exactly how to manipulate you. Unafraid and boisterous they will jump on you to "steal" whatever they can, be it food or a shiny object (watch out for earrings and necklaces), whatever catches their attention, they will aim for and it is quite fun to watch them at work.

​It is a wonderful place to visit and an experience not to be missed!
